These tracks are the hotpsots called from the ATAC-seq data. The hotpsots were called using hotspot, with default parameters (from Sam John et al. Nature Genetics 43,264-268), from the UW Encode group. Peaks were thresholded at an FDR <=0.01. Peaks were called based on the read pairs that were <= 150 bp (NFR150 peaks) or all reads treated as single end (Insertion site/Isite). Hotspots are regions in the genome with high sequence coverage. They frequently will have multiple contours within a given hotspot which can be separated into peaks (see ATAC peaks track). All ATAC peaks are encompassed by ATAC hotspots.
